A five-week online painting workshop
I’m excited to share my new online workshop, Wild + Free.
This five-week experience is an invitation to explore my approach to painting through the creation of an expressive wildflower landscape inspired by my own work. In this course, I will show you how to create an expressive work that only YOU can make.
Together, we’ll build a painting from the first layers of colour through to the final expressive marks. I’ll guide you through the process of creating a bright, joyful wildflower scene—beginning with the blue background, building the grassy landscape, adding layers of wild tangled flowers, and using expressive marks to bring movement, energy and emotion to the canvas.
Along the way, we’ll explore the ideas behind my painting process: trusting your instincts, working with colour, making confident marks, and allowing a painting to develop without overthinking every decision.
This is not about making an identical copy of my painting. It is about understanding the choices behind the process and creating your own version of a joyful, expressive wildflower landscape.
Each week we will meet live online for demonstrations, techniques and painting exercises. Between classes, you’ll work on your own canvas at your own pace, supported by a weekly guide with clear instructions to help you build your painting from one week to the next.
I know many of us are fitting creativity around busy lives, so the studio practice between sessions is designed to be achievable and encouraging—not another thing to add to your to-do list.
