Painted during a series of hot summer days in Paris, August (2026) is a bright, joyful meditation on memory, summer, and the promise of what is yet to come.
Poppies have been a recurring subject in my work since 2022. I think of them as “the flowers of memories” — flowers that seem to hold moments of the past while remaining rooted in the present. Here, vibrant poppies emerge from fields of neon grasses, creating a sense of energy and warmth balanced by an underlying calm.
This is a happy painting, but not a hurried one. It holds that particular feeling of a summer day when everything feels vivid, suspended, and full of possibility.
August (2026) is an original artwork, painted in Paris, and is now available for sale. For shipping outside of France, please select DHL original work.
